Reinforcing the Power of Capturing Kids’ Hearts™
Capturing Kids’ Hearts is the core of a powerful process that transforms schools by building trusting relationships among teachers, staff and students. Because CKH training presents so many transformational ideas and techniques, we often find that schools need additional assistance with implementation. This vital reinforcement is provided through Process Champions.
Process Champions are teachers and administrators who act as CKH mentors, helping their colleagues apply and master all aspects of Capturing Kids’ Hearts. In the Process Champions training, these faculty and administrators receive special additional instruction that prepares them to assist and support their peers in the CKH effort.
Outcomes: Process Champions learn to:
|
|
- Mentor colleagues in implementing Capturing Kids’ Hearts concepts and skills
- Respond to peers’ questions about how to handle specific student situations
- Model key skills and behaviors
- Support peers in developing self-managing groups
- Keep the fire burning for CKH
|
| Approach: Process Champions training is essential for truly transforming a school environment. We recommend at least one faculty Process Champion for every 20 teachers trained in Capturing Kids’ Hearts. In addition, at least one campus-level principal must attend the Process Champions training. Ideally, at least one district administrator should attend, as well. We encourage Process Champions to attend as a team.
Who: Process Champions should be selected carefully. They should be respected, influential teachers who embrace and model the skills and behaviors of Capturing Kids’ Hearts. Attending Capturing Kids’ Hearts is a prerequisite, of course.
When: This is a two-day learning experience. We can schedule client-booked sessions with up to 20 individuals at a time.
Where: Client-booked sessions can be scheduled at a convenient off-site location in retreat or day formats. We will work with you to determine an appropriate location.
Getting started: To inquire about private sessions, or for answers to any questions, please call The Flippen Group at 800.316.4311.

“This training exceeded all my expectations. It helped me to regain some of my lost passion for education and to refocus my energies on what matters most . . . making positive connections with kids.”
